So this piece is one I've always really liked. As it says in her description, I had originally intended this to be a full body illustration. The actual girl this piece was based on was a fan of Final Fantasy VIII, so I had planned to have her clothing reflect the look of one of the female characters from the game. Anyways, unforeseen time constraints arose and I ended up having to scrap the full body concept as well as the FFVIII costume idea and went with giving her a decorative Chinese top. As for abandoning the full body concept, I honestly feel it ended up working out for the best with putting her in a circular boarder.
For the update, I feel I wasn't able to finely hone the linework as much as I would have liked. When originally working on this piece it was a definite "fly by the seat of your pants" as far as the time frame went. So I've now gone back and really given it the extra time that I would have put into it and am very pleased with the final product.
